Using the camera
Rear camera
This camera is useful for taking pictures of other people, animals and scenery. The subject appears on the display
just as in real life. (Normal display: Objects are photographed as seen on the display.) You can also use the rear
camera for close-up shots by switching to the macro lens.
Front camera
Use this camera to take pictures of yourself. The image is displayed just as if you were looking in the mirror. (Mirror
display: Objects are photographed as mirror images of what appears on the display.)
To switch between the front and rear cameras, press
p
(FUNC) in the shooting display, select “Front camera” or
“Rear camera” from the function menu and then press
d
.
Lens selector switch
To take close-up pictures of a subject, set the lens selector switch to (Macro lens). Switching to the macro lens
enables the camera to focus on subjects that are only 6 to 8 cm away from the rear camera lens.
Please be considerate of the privacy of individuals around you when taking and sending pictures using camera-
equipped mobile phones.
