Voice/Videophone Calls
◆ When you hear beeps (call waiting ring
tone) while talking over a voice call
If you are a subscriber to Voice Mail Service, Call waiting
or Call Forwarding Service, you hear beeps (the call
waiting ring tone) when receiving another incoming voice
call while talking over a voice call. You can perform any of
the operations below :
* Selection from the submenu is enabled only when Arrival call act is
"Answer".
Switching voice/videophone call
when receiving a call
When a caller of the current voice (videophone) call has
switched to videophone (voice) call, a receiver must react
to it.

Call switching can be done only from the caller's
terminal.

To react to switching to voice or videophone call, Notify
switchable mode must be started in advance. → P64
<Example> Accepting switching to videophone call

Receive a request for switching to
videophone call during a voice call.

During call switching, a message indicating to
switch the call is played.

"Yes"
The call is switched to videophone call and camera
image is sent to the other party.

Select "No" to send Default image set for
Substitute image.

When a call is switched to a videophone call with
Speakerphone in Operation (Videophone
settings) set to "ON", the speaker phone function
is used for the call.
Accepting switching to voice call : Receive a request

The speakerphone function is canceled when the
call is switched to voice call.

End the call : Terminate the call.
On-hold : Put the call on hold.
Continue(mute) : Mute the sound without
terminating the call. However, when the
speakerphone function is active, your voice is not
heard by the other party but you hear the other
party's voice from the speaker.

INFORMATION

When the FOMA terminal is folded in the cases below, the
call continues regardless of the setting in this function.
- When earphone/microphone (optional) is connected.
- When a message is being recorded by Answer machine.

When FOMA terminal is folded during a videophone call
with "Continue(mute)" set, a substitute image is sent to the
other party. Frames already sent, if any, are canceled.

Also, when FOMA terminal is folded while recording voice
memo while talking or movie memo, operations are
performed according to these settings. In case of "On-hold",
the contents recorded until the time immediately before
holding are saved.

To make settings during a voice call, press
