GPS Function
Location request
Providing your current location
information when requested
This is a service related to Location request; you can set
so that location information is provided upon request
from other set parties.
・
To use a service related to Location request, a
subscription to the service provider may be required.
You may be charged for using the service.
・
To use a service related to Location request, you must
set Request permit/deny to "Always permit". And, you
may be required to make usage settings by services.

When Location request is issued

Positioning is made and location information is sent.

When the requestor ID matches the phone number or
mail address registered in phonebook, the name
registered in phonebook appears.

Select "Yes" to start positioning.

Sending Location information requires no charge.
・
Location request is disabled during positioning with
Position location or Notify location, while FOMA terminal is
out of service area or during Self mode, i-mode
communication with i-
D
ppli or infrared communication. If
the battery is exhausted or Omakase Lock is activated
during positioning, it is stopped.
・
Information may not be delivered by Location request to
the requestor depending on wave conditions.

If "

" is set for usage settings by services when
Location request is issued during Public mode (Drive
mode), location information is not sent. If "
許可
(Permit)" is
set, a screen appears and location information is sent, but
the GPS alert sound is not emitted, and the light or vibrator
does not operate.

When Location request is issued from the other party using
イマドコかんたんサーチ
(imadocokantan search), the
terminal operates as follows :
- Each time Location request is issued, a confirmation screen for
Location request appears. Select "Yes" to immediately send the
rough positioning result to the other party. After the positioning is
complete, the positioning result in higher accuracy is sent to the
other party.
- Once "Yes" is selected in the confirmation screen for Location
request, rough positioning result is sent to the other party even if
Location request is interrupted halfway. This is recorded in Loc.
history, but the location information does not appear.

Enabling/disabling Location request
<Request permit/deny>
You can set if you provide location information when
there is a request from other parties.

This function can be set to "Always permit" or "Always
deny" also from initial settings.

If either of the setting of Silent alarm, Power OFF notice,
and imadoco? search of Loss protection is "ON",
"Always deny" cannot be set.
