Condensation from rapid changes in temperature may
cause internal corrosion and lead to a malfunction.

Do not apply excessive force to the handset, battery
pack, etc. when using them.
Placing in a bag or other storage where many other
things are stuffed, or carrying in a pocket and sitting
down can cause display, internal circuitry, battery pack,
etc. to malfunction or break.

external device is connected to the external connector
terminal.

Notes about the handset
z
Wipe clean with a dry, soft cloth (such as for eye
glasses).
Wiping forcefully may scratch the display.
Allowing moisture or smudges to remain on the
display may leave blemishes.
Wiping with thinner, benzine, detergent, etc. may
remove print or fade colors.
Wiping may be done using a soft cloth dampened
with foam hand soap, isopropyl alcohol, ethanol, or
sodium hypochlorite (→P. 28).
* Immersing the handset or directly spraying
isopropyl alcohol, ethanol, or sodium hypochlorite
may cause malfunction. Always use a soft,
dampened cloth.

The handset can be wiped with a disinfectant alcohol
sheet or cloth containing a small amount of alcohol
(such that the cloth is dampened). The handset has
been wipe-tested with the following chemicals used
commonly in disinfectant alcohol sheets to test its
chemical resistance.
(1) Isopropyl alcohol, (2) ethanol, (3) sodium
hypochlorite
No noticeable discoloration or fading was confirmed in
testing assuming wiping with disinfectant alcohol
sheets. However, handset resistance is verified under
test conditions, and complete non-occurrence of
discoloration or fading is not guaranteed .

Do not press or scratch the display forcibly.
May scratch the display, causing malfunction or
damage.
z
Avoid using the handset in extremely high or low
temperatures.
Use the handset within a temperature range of
between 5°C and 35°C and a humidity between
35%% and 85%.
