After software is updated, the handset cannot be 
returned to the previous software.

Information unique to the handset (model, serial 
number, etc.) is sent to a DOCOMO server during a 
software update. DOCOMO does not use this 
information for purposes other than software updates.

Functions become temporarily unavailable during a 
software update.

 

z

If a SIM PIN is set, a SIM PIN entry window appears 
after software is overwritten and the handset is 
restarting. Enter the SIM PIN.

 

z

If a software update fails and the handset becomes 
completely inoperable, bring the handset to a docomo-
designated repair counter.

Software cannot be updated in the following instances. 
Try updating software again after resolving the issue.
