Becomes hot while operating/charging
The handset, battery pack, or the adapter may
become warm during use, charging, or if using apps,
etc. for a long period while charging, but this is
normal. Continue use. →P. 50

Usable battery time is short
Is the handset outside of the service area and not
used for long periods? When out of the service area,
the handset searches for a signal to enable
communication, and uses up more power.
Battery pack usable time depends on environment of
usage and battery pack deterioration. →P. 146
The battery pack is consumable. Available time
shortens with each repeated charge. If usable time
becomes extremely shorter than at the time of
purchase even after fully charged, purchase a new
specified battery pack. →P. 50

Unintended handset power off or restart occurs
A soiled terminal on the battery pack may cause a
bad connection and the handset to power off. If
soiled, clean the terminal on the battery pack with a
dry cotton swab.

No response by pressing keys
Make sure the handset is not powered off. →P. 54

Screen response is slow when pressing keys
This can happen such as when a large amount of
data is saved on the handset, or when exchanging a
large amount of data between the handset and a
microSD card. →P. 117

docomo nano UIM card is not recognized
Is the docomo nano UIM card inserted facing the
right direction? →P. 41

Clock is incorrect
The clock time may become inaccurate if the
handset is powered on for a long period. Make sure
[Automatic date & time] in [Date & time] is enabled
and power the handset on again in a location with
good signal conditions. →P. 120

Handset operation is unstable
An application installed after purchasing the handset
may be the cause. If the symptom improves after
starting the handset in safe mode, uninstalling an
app you installed can improve the symptom.
* Safe mode is a function whereby the handset is
started in a mode close to that when purchased.
How to activate safe mode
Power on the handset again when power off, then
keep pressing

until the standby screen is displayed.

activate safe mode.
* After safe mode activates, "Safe mode" appears
at the lower screen left.
* To exit safe mode, power the handset on again.
