You can perform a diagnosis yourself if you think the
handset may be malfunctioning.
For details, see the NTT DOCOMO website.

Check if the software needs to be updated, and update
it if necessary (→P. 144).
z
If problematic symptoms are not improved after going
through the check items, contact "Troubleshooting &
Repairs" (in Japanese only) on the last page or a
docomo-designated repair counter.
Power
z
Handset does not power on
Is the battery pack installed correctly? →P. 48
Is the battery depleted? →P. 50
z
Screen does not respond, cannot power handset off
You can press
H
and

at the same time for at
least 10 seconds to force-shut down the handset
and restart it.
* Note that the handset is being forced to restart,
and data, settings, etc. may be lost.
Charging
z
Cannot charge
The charging lamp does not illuminate or it flashes
Is the battery pack installed correctly? →P. 48
Is the power plug on the adapter firmly connected to
an outlet or accessory socket? →P. 51
Are the adapter and the handset connected
properly? →P. 51
If using an AC adapter (sold separately), is the
connector on the AC adapter connected firmly to the
handset or the desktop holder (sold separately)?

If using a USB cable A to C 02 (sold separately), is
the computer turned on? →P. 124
If a call, data communication, or other function is
performed for a long time while charging, the handset
may become warm and charging may stop. In this
instance, let the handset cool down and charge it
again. →P. 50
