Using the GPS function

GPS is a function to retrieve the location information
of devices by receiving radio waves from GPS
satellites. It is necessary to enable Location to obtain
current location.

You cannot use the handset as a navigation system
for aircraft, vehicles, persons, etc. or high-accuracy
surveying GPS. DOCOMO is not responsible for any
(pure economic loss (damages, etc.) resulting from lost
opportunities such as checking location results or
communication due to malfunction, misoperation,
external causes such as power stoppages (including
power outages), etc. of the handset, when used for the
above or any other purpose.

GPS is a service administered by the US Department
of Defense. Therefore, the condition of GPS radio
waves may be controlled (accuracy degradation, radio
wave stop, etc.) for US national security reasons. In
addition, same results may not be obtained even when
positioning is done in the same location and
environment, since the condition of radio waves may
change depending on the location of the GPS
satellites.

Note that GPS uses radio waves from artificial
satellites, and therefore the following conditions may
prevent radio waves from being received or prevent the
reception of radio waves from being satisfactory,
resulting in an error of 300 m or more for location
information.

In or under a dense forest, in a high-density area with
buildings or residences

In or under buildings

Inside a basement or tunnel, underground, or
underwater

Near high-tension lines

Inside cars, trains, etc.

In bad weather with heavy rain/snow, etc.

Inside bags or boxes

When people or objects are blocking the handset
„
When hands are covering the GPS antenna area

When using the GPS function overseas, information
based on the acquired location (latitude and longitude
information) may not be accurate because of the legal
system, etc. in each country and the area.

GPS assist data such as satellite information may be
automatically retrieved when you obtain current
location.
