Loading the Paper Roll and Ink
Ribbon
For details on loading the paper roll and ink ribbon, see
“Loading the Paper Roll and Ink Ribbon” on page 15
When you are finished loading the paper roll and ink
ribbon, touch the [OK] button in the error message screen.
The error message screen closes, and you can continue
operations.
If the Ink Ribbon Breaks during Use
The remaining ribbon can be used after repairing it with
adhesive tape.

Open the side door, and remove the ink ribbon
cartridge.

Pull the ribbon on the spool, attach one edge of a strip
of adhesive tape along the entire length of the ribbon’s
end, and then attach the other edge of the tape to the
ribbon on the other spool.

Remove any slack from the ribbon.
Be sure to wind the taped portion completely so that
the tape is not exposed.

Hold the center of the ink ribbon cartridge, and load it
into the unit.

Close the side door.
Depending on the position of the ribbon break, a single
printout’s worth of ribbon may be lost.

Verify that no memory card is inserted in any of the
front-side memory card slots of the unit. Then turn on
the POWER switch.
The unit starts up, and the start guide screen appears.

If the ink ribbon or paper roll is empty, the following
screen appears.
