COMPONENT OUT/ YPbPr (G, R, B) – Provides good HD picture quality, but not as good as
HDMI. YPbPr carries only picture information, not sound; use it along with a digital audio connection
or AUDIO (L/R red/white) jacks.

second set of audio cables to another component, such as a VCR or stereo.

17) PHONE – Connects the DIRECTV HD DVR PRO to a telephone wall jack. We require a land-based
telephone connection to communicate periodically with your DIRECTV HD DVR PRO.
18) AC POWER – Connects the DIRECTV HD DVR PRO to an electrical outlet. We recommend you use
a surge protector to safeguard your DIRECTV HD DVR PRO from power spikes.
