Module programming

Refer to "LED diagnostics and troubleshooting" on page 14 for more information and for troubleshooting purposes.

To connect the module:

Please 

ensure

 that the vehicle is in a safe location and cannot move forward during 

programming. For vehicles equipped with a manual transmission, make sure the gearshift 
lever is in the neutral position.

Connect

 all the harnesses to the Directed Digital Solutions, 

EXCEPT

 the 12-pin main power 

harness.

Connect all but the 

12-pin harness

Connect

 the 12-pin main power harness, and wait until the LED turns ON solid red.

Note:

 To skip the transponder programming and use convenience features only, press

the programming button 5 times. The LED turns ON solid orange, then proceed to step 4.

(This feature can only be used with vehicles that are 

NOT

 equipped with an OEM alarm.)

Insert

 the first key and 

turn

 it to the ON position. The LED will flash green

Wait

 at least 3 seconds but no more than 10 seconds then 

remove

 it.

If the transponder programming was skipped,

 the LED turns ON solid 

orange for 3 seconds then shuts OFF when programming is done.

Important! 

Proceed with the next step within 5 seconds.

Note:

 In some vehicles, it may be necessary to turn the key to the ON  

position once more before proceeding to the next step.

Wait

 for at least 3 seconds, but no more than 10 seconds, and 

press

hold

 the programming button.The vehicle ignition will be triggered.

Important! Release

 the programming button as soon as the LED stops flashing orange. 

If you wait too long to release the programming button, you will have to restart the 
programming sequence.

The LED turns ON solid green for 3 seconds, then turns OFF.
