®
Standard-Duty Utility Cart.
1. Place bottom shelf (1) on floor or other sturdy surface and insert aluminum uprights (2) into pockets at each of
the four corners.
2. Position the middle shelf (3) so the aluminum uprights go into each of the four pockets on the bottom of the
middle shelf.
3. Using a rubber mallet or other non-metal hammer, tap the corners of the middle shelf until each of the
aluminum tubes is fully seated into both the middle and bottom shelf.
4. Insert aluminum uprights (2) in pockets at each of the four corners.
5. Position the top shelf (4) so the aluminum uprights go into each of the four pockets on the bottom of the top shelf.
6. Using a rubber mallet or other non-metal hammer, tap the corners of the top shelf until each of the aluminum
tubes is fully seated into both the top and middle shelf.
7. Turn cart over so the bottom is facing up.
8. Insert caster (5) into caster receiver and tap caster with a rubber mallet until the caster is fully seated. Repeat
until all casters are securely installed.
9. Turn cart over so the cart is on the casters.
10. Position a handle (6) over two end posts such that the handle sticks out past the side of the cart. Tap the handle
down using the rubber mallet until the handle is fully seated and is in contact with the top shelf.
11. With the cart on a flat surface, check that the cart is stable and all four casters are in contact with the surface.
If the cart is not stable, check which upright is not fully seated and apply pressure to that corner until it is fully
seated and the cart is stable.
12. Remove protective plastic from poles.
NOTE:
If the use of a rubber mallet is needed to seat the aluminum tubes, place this part on
top of the aluminum tubes before tapping into place. This part is intended to be used during
the assembly process and can be disposed of after the cart is fully assembled.
