Adding or Removing SCbus Linecards in the Dialogic
System Software
If you add a SCbus linecard after you have installed the Dialogic System Software, you
must add the linecard in the software. Also, if you remove a SCbus linecard, or replace an
existing linecard with one of a different type, you must remove the linecard in the
software. This section contains instructions for adding or removing SCbus linecards when
using Dialogic System Software DNA 2, DNA 3.3, and SR5.01.
Adding SCbus Linecards in the Dialogic Configuration
Manager (DCM)—DNA 2, DNA 3.3, and SR5.01
Use the following procedure to add SCbus linecards to the DCM. Because the procedure
for adding linecards is identical for DNA 2, DNA 3.3, and SR5.01, the following
procedure covers SR5.01.
Note
The following procedures assume that you have followed the instructions in the
earlier “Preparing for Service” section to configure the Dialogic System Software for
manual startup and restart the platform. If you have not configured the Dialogic System
Software for manual startup or restarted the platform, please return to the earlier
“Preparing for Service” section.
To add linecards in Dialogic System Software SR5.01:
1. If you have not already done so, log on to Windows NT Server with an account with
Administrator privileges on the OneBox platform.
2. From the Start menu, point to Programs, point to Dialogic System Software and select
Dialogic Configuration Manager – DCM
.
3. Determine how to configure Dialogic Configuration Manager for the Dialogic
linecards you added.
