1 Quick Start

Contents

This section is designed to get your ID-08 or ID-09 Handheld Reader up and running 
quickly using di-soric’s 

ID-Software

 so you can get a sense of its capabilities and test sam-

ple symbols. Detailed setup information for configuring the reader for your specific appli-
cation can be obtained in the subsequent sections.

Your interface type will determine how data is received by the host. When sending data by 
USB, you must open a text editor in your host computer. When sending data by RS-232, you 
must use a terminal program such as
