MOUNTING OF THE SIDE STEPS
15.1
MOUNTING THE SIDES STEPS
•
Side steps for DH-R* style liftgates can be ordered in 3 separate configurations. These are: single step (OAM052.1.LR), dual step
(OAM052.LR), and flex step (OAM057.LR).
•
These options will be determined at the time the liftgate order is placed.
•
Ensure you are using a sufficiently sized step for the floor height of the vehicle in order to maintain an adequate departure angle from
the rear axle.
•
Bolt the side steps to the bed extension as shown.
•
Note, if 102” widening blocks (OAM053) were included in the order, please see instructions
in the following chapter 15.2 on page 40.
These should be bolted to the bed extension before installation of the side steps.
•
Maintain a 90° angle between the steps and the bed extension.
•
Fasten 2x M14 bolts and locking nuts per side to the prescribed torque settings For the proper torque specs, please refer to appendix
19.2 on page 51.
