USE OF THE TIRE ADAPTORS
The DH-AB* are designed to lift a wide variety of vehicles with vastly different tire sizes. The spacing on the standard lift forks is
suitable for most regular heavy-duty trucks, trailers and semi-trailers, busses and coaches. Tire adaptors MUST be used for the
smaller vans, minibuses etc. with smaller diameter tires.
Tire adaptors are foreseen on all lift columns.
Following guidelines apply:
Use
Minimum and maximum tire size
Without tire adaptors
Minimum R17 (Ф 900) – maximum R22.5 (Ф 1140)
With tire adaptors
Minimum R15 (Ф 650) – maximum R17 (Ф 900)
Mount the tire adaptor on the left side fork (from a viewpoint in front of the open forks).
When installing the tire adaptor, make sure the adaptor is pushed to the very end and the locking latch is tilted down behind the
upright rib that is part of the lift fork construction. If not properly secured by means of that locking latch, the tire adaptors may shift
during use, cause the vehicle to become unbalanced and tilt over.
Locking latch hooks behind the upright rib on the lift fork. The
tire adaptor is properly secured.
The locking latch sits in front of the upright rib on the lift fork.
The tire adaptor is NOT secured. Do NOT continue this way.
