Balance
Calibration
Run the internal calibration on the balance. During this process the balance lowers an
internal calibration mass and makes a span correction. Do not confuse this correction with
the span correction performed by
GFS Tools
. The
Balance Calibration
correction
adjusts coefficients internal to the balance affecting the instantaneous mass output by the
balance. The
GFS Tools
span correction is applied to the instantaneous balance output.
After using this option, the user must re-set the
[Setup][Calibration][Mass/Time]<Mass Span
Multiplier>
back to 1 or rerun the
GFS Tools Zero and Span
function. Failure to do so will
result in an erroneous correction being applied to the balance output leading to erroneous data.

AMBIENT CONDITIONS RUN SCREEN
All sensory information obtained by the LCM is displayed on the
Ambient
Conditions
run screen. Access this display by selecting the drop down menu
option next to the
[GFS]
display toolbar button.
The ambient conditions information is grouped by sensor and function on the
display. Use this feature to verify and to compare LCM sensory output information.
Not all values displayed are directly used by
GFS Tools
to determine GFS flow.
The information is provided to simplify the calibration processes.
Change the unit of measure and resolution of all ambient output values by
clicking the displayed output value. One unit and resolution setting is imposed on all
similar ambient output values. For example all temperature measurements will
display in the same unit of measure with the same format.

DESCRIPTION
Ambient Pressure
Ambient pressure as measured by the LCM internal ambient pressure sensor. The sensor
is pneumatically connected to the enclosure interior.
Ambient Humidity
Ambient humidity as indicated by the LCM internal humidity probe. This output indicates the
ambient humidity surrounding the LCM. This output is not directly used by
GFS Tools
.
