INITIAL BALANCE AND AMH BASE SETUP
Install the balance positioning bracket
around the two adjustable front legs of
the balance. Thread the balance legs
fully counterclockwise and remove them
so that the legs can be passed through
the holes in the bracket and threaded
back into the balance. The bracket
should be positioned so that the front
portion angles upward to where it will
attach to the AMH base.

Place the GFS balance on the granite surface inside the draft enclosure.
Place the AMH-GFS2102 base over the balance so that the base surrounds the
balance.
Connect the balance positioning bracket to the front wall of the AMH base using the two
screws and lock washers provided. The AMH belts must be gently pushed aside to
access the holes in the AMH base. If you are unable to thread in the screws with the
balance in place, it is possible to first connect the bracket to the AMH base only, then
install the balance legs through the holes in the bracket while the bracket is already
installed on the AMH base. Both methods require some dexterity, and great care
should be taken not to shock or drop the balance while doing this.
Install the PRT probe through the PRT hole in the back wall of the AMH base. A set
screw accessible from the bottom of the AMH may have to be backed out to allow the
PRT to slide in. Insert the PRT so that the end of the PRT is even with the center of the
balance tray post. Tighten the set screw only enough to hold the PRT in place.
Connect the 9 pin D-sub cable in the enclosure to the serial port in the rear of the
balance.
Connect the balance power cord.
