MS-2102-0.7 MASS SET OR MS-2102-CAR MASS
CARRIER
The MS-2102-0.7 mass set and the MS-2102-CAR mass carrier are not included in the
GFS2102 base system but may be purchased with the system. The full mass set may be
purchased, which includes a mass carrier, or the mass carrier may be purchased alone.
Either option is packed in a molded plastic case inside a corrugated liner. The plastic case
comes with a foam insert with custom cutouts to hold both the mass carrier and the four
piece, 700 g mass set.
Table 9 details all items included with the MS-2102-0.7 mass set. Table 10 details just the
MS-2102-CAR mass carrier and case.

MOLSTICS
The low flow molstic (PN 401316) and mid flow molstic (PN 401244) are not included in the
GFS2102 base system but may be purchased with the system. Each molstic is “FIP”ed
(Foamed In Place) individually inside corrugated containers. See section 3.3.15 for more
information on molstics.

SITE REQUIREMENTS
3.2.1
GFS2102 SYSTEM
The environment required to operate the GFS2102 gravimetric flow standard within its estimated
measurement uncertainty limits is generally that of a high level, physical metrology laboratory.
When selecting and preparing a site to set up the GFS2102 system, the following
environmental influences should be considered:
Ambient conditions:
To achieve optimum metrological performance, ambient conditions
should be controlled and maintained within the following limits:
Temperature:
15 to 25 °C, with a minimized rate of change of temperature.
Relative Humidity:
5 to 70% RH (non-condensing).
Ambient Pressure:
Minimize external influences that will cause barometric instability.
Air Currents:
Do not install the GFS2102 draft enclosure under a source of vertical air currents
such as an overhead air conditioning duct. These can exaggerate the magnitude and rate of
changes in ambient temperature.
