[OUTPUT] TAB
The
[Output]
tab is used to define the relationship between the raw output of a
device and the final output. The tab is contains 3 frames:
Raw Output
,
Final
Output
, and
Tolerance
. A selection is required on each frame. The caption on
the
Final Output
frame changes based on the
<Device Type>
selection on the
[Header]
tab. The
<Unit>
list also adapts to include units of measure relative to
the selected
<Device Type>
.
The [Output] tab is not available or required when a DH Instruments device is
setup with the <Auto detect Setup> option checked on the [Header] tab.

DUT Device Edit [Output] Tab
A linear relationship is assumed between the raw output and the final output. To
determine a final output from a given raw output, the raw output is converted to a
percentage of the raw output span. This percentage is applied to the final output
span to obtain the final output. Many mass flow instruments that have an analog
output (V, mA) use this type of linear scaling. For example, 0 – 5V raw output
corresponds to 0 to 100 [email protected] final output.

DESCRIPTION
F
Fiinal
Calculated final output in the
<Final Output>
unit.
F
Span
Final output span in the final output unit.
O
Raw
Un-manipulated raw output as entered or measured
remotely.
O
min
The minimum raw output in the raw output unit.
O
Span
The raw output span in the raw output unit.
F
min
The minimum final output in the final output unit.
Starting with the
Raw Output
frame, select the
<Output Type>
and
corresponding unit of measure. The
<Output Type>
is a broad classification
of outputs that determines the fundamental output of the device. The
selection specifies the
<Raw Output>
as a flow, current, voltage, etc. The unit of
measure specified is the unit in which the
<Raw Output>
must be acquired by the
selected

on the

tab. This is
