FEATURE
DESCRIPTION
Timed Point
Interval
(required numeric
entry field)
The time in seconds between collecting data according to the
<Averaging time>
. Use a
timed point interval that is appropriate for the flow rate. A flow point that requires 5 hours
should use an interval smaller than a test that will take 5 minutes.
The approximate number of points logged in the data file per accumulation displays next to
the timed point interval field. Make sure to increase the
<Timed Point Interval>
for lower
flows to avoid having very large and unmanagable data files. The number of points can
also be directly entered and this will automatically calculate a Timed Point Interval to
achieve approximately that number of points.
It is good practice to limit the number of points per accumulation
regardless of the test flow rate. Approximately 200 points is
recommended per accumulation. This helps to limit the overall file size and
keeps file processing time to a minimum.
Number of
Accumulations
(required numeric
entry field)
The number of accumulations for the current flow rate.
Approximate Mass
(numeric display
field)
The approximate total mass to use for the current flow rate. The estimated total mass for
the complete test displays at the top of the
Test Definition Editor
.
5.5.2.7
[AUTOZERO]
The
[AutoZero]
tab defines when an AutoZero or Balance Zero operation will
take place. The choices on this tab take precedence over the
[Tools][Options][Run Test]
AutoZero selections.
[AutoZero]
tab selections
affect all flow points defined in a test.
Tests that define flow points with relatively short accumulations do not
require frequent AutoZero operations. Under typical lab conditions an AutoZero
should be performed every 5 minutes.
