Test Definition Editor [Data] Tab
Only two of the three fields: <Starting Sample %Rdg Tolerance>, <Ending
Sample %Rdg Tolerance>, and <Mass to Deplete> can be defined at a time. The
information from two of the fields is used to calculate the third field. The calculated
field displays with a gray background. User defined fields have a white background.

FEATURE
DESCRIPTION
Starting Sample
%Rdg Tolerance
(required numeric
entry field)
Define the GFS tolerance at which flow sampling will begin. GFS Tools will automatically
calculate the time to the first sample in the grey field to the right of this entry based upon
the flow rate and selected gas. The value entered does not affect the
<Mass to Deplete>
field. An error value should be entered that results in a time that accounts for at least 10%
of the
<Ending Sample %Rdg Tolerance>
time as data taken before that may have too
little time or too little mass for GFS Tools to calculate an acceptable mass flow rate and
could falsely bias the data collected.
Ending Sample
%Rdg Tolerance
(required numeric
entry field)
Define the GFS ending sample tolerance. The entry calculates the
<Mass to Deplete>
and time required to achieve the entered tolerance at the current flow rate. Alternately, the
field is automatically calculated when a value is entered in the
<Mass to Deplete>
field.
Mass to Deplete
(conditional numeric
entry field)
Define the mass to deplete for the current accumulation and flow rate. The field is
automatically calculated when a value is entered in the
<Ending Sample %Rdg
Tolerance>
, or will automatically calculate a new
<Ending Sample %Rdg Tolerance>
and time if a
<Mass to Deplete>
is manually entered
Averaging Time
(required numeric
entry field)
Enter the averaging time to use for data collection. To take instantaneous data points
enter 0 as the averaging time.
