Select the 

A-Mode

 button to enable the diagnostic A-Scan overlay.

 

Enabling 

the A-Scan Overlay  will superimpose  an  A-Scan waveform  over  the  B-Scan 
image or video. Use a left-click to place the vector in the desired position.
