BIOS Setup
The settings on the screen are for reference only. Your version may not be identical
to this one.
IDE HDD Auto-Detection
Detects the parameters of the drive. The parameters will automati-
cally be shown on the screen.
IDE Primary Master/Slave and IDE Secondary Master/Slave
The drive type information should be included in the documenta-
tion from your hard disk vendor. If you select ”Auto”, the BIOS will
auto-detect the HDD & CD-ROM drive at the POST stage and
show the IDE for the HDD & CD-ROM drive. If a hard disk has
not been installed, select “None”.
Access Mode
For hard drives larger than 528MB, you would typically select the
LBA type. Certain operating systems require that you select CHS
or Large. Please check your operating system’s manual or Help desk
on which one to select.
3.1.1.3 IDE Primary Master, IDE Primary Slave, IDE Secondary Master
and IDE Secondary Slave
Move the cursor to the “IDE Primary Master”, “IDE Primary Slave”,
“IDE Secondary Master” or “IDE Secondary Slave” field, then press
<Enter>. The following screen will appear.
