Jumper Settings

If any anomaly of the followings is encountered —
a) CMOS data is corrupted;
b) you forgot the supervisor or user password;
c) failure to start the system due to BIOS mis-configuration
— it is suggested that the system be reconfigured with default values stored in the ROM BIOS.
To load the default values stored in the ROM BIOS, please follow the steps below.
1. Power-off the system and unplug the power cord.
2. Put a jumper cap on pin 2 and pin 3. Wait for a few seconds and set it back to its de-
fault setting, i.e. jumper cap on pin 1 and pin 2.
3. Plug the power cord and power-on the system.

RS232 Power Select
All the six COM ports support the three power configurations — Standard RS232 (default),
RS232 with 5V power, RS232 with 12V power. These power modes are configured via jumper
settings as illustrated. Each of the 6-pin jumpers corresponds to one of the COM ports — JP24
(COM1), JP7 (COM2), JP25 (COM3), JP23 (COM4), JP26 (COM5), JP27 (COM6).
3-4 On: Standard

5-6 On: 5V

1-2 On: 12V
