of the speaker. It is recommended to place the MOH 15A on a speaker stand when used, because high
frequencies are very sensitive to dispersion, opposed to low frequencies. By placing the speaker on a stand,
where the dispersion horn of the tweeter is just positioned above your audience, the ideal dispersion of high
frequencies is ensured.
The MOH 15A can be used with regular speaker stands which usually have a diameter of around 35 mm (or
a value which is very close to this), such as the included speaker stand. Before placing the speaker on a
stand, loosen the tightening knob so it will not interfere with the speaker stand.
After this, lift the speaker and place it gently on the speaker stand. Do not let the speaker fall on the stand
when the stand adapter is inserted to the stand, as the housing of the cabinet may break and cause
permanent damage. Gently place the speaker on the stand and tighten the knob on the back of the speaker
afterwards. This knob only needs to be tightened by hand, excessive force on the knob needs to be
prevented. The tightening knob is only used to secure the speaker on the stand, thus making it impossible to
wobble or turn around during use. Also resonance of loudspeaker vibrations are prevented this way.
Protective grill
The front of the speaker is equipped with a protective grill for the woofer. As the woofer is a very sensitive
part of the speaker, it needs to be protected sufficiently during transport, use and storage. Therefore it is
prohibited to remove the speaker grill, thus preventing damage to speaker components.
Bass reflex system
The MOH 15A speaker is equipped with a bass reflex chamber system. This is a specific loudspeaker
cabinet solution to increase low frequency volume. If the speaker is used at high volume, it may be possible
that air vibrates near the bass reflex speaker gaps. This is perfectly normal. However, do not put any objects,
liquids or small items like confetti in the openings to prevent damage to the speaker and its internal
components.
Handles and wheels
The Devine MOH 15A is equipped with handles on both sided of the speaker cabinet and an extra handle on
top. This ensures secure and easy transport of the speaker as you can lift it with both hands. The integrated
wheels make it easy to roll the speaker into a van or car.
Using the included dynamic microphone
The included dynamic microphone can be used for vocal applications and is mostly used for presentations
and speeches. When using the microphone, ensure a proper microphone positioning. When giving it to
somebody who is not experienced with the use of microphone, please instruct them properly. Ensure that
the person holding the microphone is not standing directly in front of, or next to the MOH 15A speaker (or
any speaker for that matter). If this happens, there is a very large chance of audio feedback. This can be
caused by sound that is picked up from the microphone, amplified by the speaker, picked up by the
microphone, amplified by the speaker and so on, which is mostly recognizable by a high-pitched static
squeaking noise. If this kind of feedback is present, take immediate action and move the microphone away
from the speaker or lower the microphone level on the speaker panel.
