During MP3 playback of an USB or SD drive or while streaming music from your Bluetooth enabled
streaming device, it is possible to select one of the built-in EQ presets of the MP3-player. This way, you can
adjust the sound to your preferences. Please note that the sound is most accurate if the EQ function is not
used, as it will change the sound. The EQ preset function can not be used for FM radio.
FM radio
The integrated FM radio of the MOH 15A makes it possible to listen to FM radio frequencies, starting at 87.5
MHz. With the included remote or the menu buttons on the speaker, you are able to change radio stations. It
is also possible to create up to 30 radio presets, based on the strongest FM radio signals which can be found
by the integrated player and antenna. There is no physical antenna present on the speaker panel.
Using the included remote
The included remote control is solely used for the built-in MP3 player. It can be controlled up to a distance of
about 15 meters, if aimed properly and not blocked by any objects in its path. Please ensure that you are
standing directly in front of the speaker, as the infrared sensor is placed at the front of the speaker. The
included remote can be used to change signal sources, change tracks or radio stations, play certain songs of
a SD card or USB thumb drive and is used to change the EQ presets. When using the remote for the first
time, please remove the transparent tab which is sticking out of the remote bottom, in the battery
compartment. This makes sure the included CR2025 battery is activated and makes contact with the
terminals, ready for use.
Clipping
The amplifier section of the MOH 15A is equipped with a CLIP limiter with LED indication. Clipping can be
present because the input channels of the speaker are driven with a signal which is too strong. This can be
reduced by lowering the channel volume, or checking and lowering the volume of the audio source (such as
a DJ mixer).
Clipping of an audio amplifier needs to be prevented as much as possible, because the amplifier can not
provide the right amount of power with its internal components. This situation can be compared with a person
who can carry a weight of maximum 20 kilograms. If you force the person to carry a weight of more than 30
kilograms, he will not be able to lift the weight. The same counts for your power amplifier, which is trying to
deliver the requested amount of power, while overloading the internal components. This may not only cause
temporary distortion of the sound, but can also cause a lot of harm to all internal components of the speaker!
Defects may be caused to the amplifier module because of overloaded components, but also the speaker
component such as the woofer may be damaged permanently as the overloaded components will deliver a
distorted sound that damages the speaker.
It Is therefore strongly recommended to keep an eye on the CLIP LED limiters on the speakers and take
proper action if the LED is lit or slightly blinks. Listen carefully to your loudspeakers and ensure that the
audio source is sending a signal of the best possible quality, to prevent distortion and a lack of quality in the
sound.
Speaker stand
The MOH 15A is delivered with a speaker stand, which makes it possible to position the speaker on human
ear level. This ensures that high frequencies will be spread more evenly over the listening audience, as high
frequencies reflect more than low frequencies. When placing the speaker on the floor, the high frequencies of
the tweeter will reflect more easily, which makes it more difficult to reach your audience with vocals and
music.
When using the speaker stand, make sure the base tightening knob is turned counter-clockwise. Pull the
speaker stand legs so the three legs will spread and form a solid, wide base. When the desired width is
reached (a floor diameter of about 1m), tighten the base tightening knob. To extend the speaker stand,
loosen the upper tightening knob so the speaker pole comes loose and can be set to the desired level. When
the desired level has been reached, tighten the knob. Ensure that the safety pin of the speaker stand can still
be installed, to ensure a safe positioning of your speaker.
Stand adapter
The MOH 15A is equipped with a 35 mm stand adapter with integrated tightening knob. The 35 mm stand
adapter can be found at the bottom of the loudspeaker, while the tightening knob is found at the bottom rear
