Accepting Calls
By Lifting the Handset
or Pressing a Key
Normal Call
H /
Lift the handset or press
the call key to which the call is being
signalled (hands-free mode - only on
the OpenPhone 63 and 65).
Lifting the handset always accepts
the caller who has been waiting the
longest (note the bell symbol in
the display).
VIP Call
Calls of this type from authorised us-
ers are signalled to you even if
you have activated your call-waiting
protection, call-protection or call-di-
version function. You hear the ring-
ing tone:

Lift the handset and press
the appropriate call key.
Automatic Call
Connection
In certain operational modes (e.g. in
hands-free operation or when mak-
ing calls with a headset), it can be
useful to connect subsequent calls
automatically. On your system tele-
phone, you set the delay after which
calls are automatically connected in
the
4 Auto. Call Conn.
sub-
menu of the
1 Calls
menu.
During Another Call
On the Same Call Key
G
You are speaking on the tele-
phone, hear the short tone (call-
waiting signal) and see the call on
your display.
G
Press the call key assigned to
the line on which you are speaking.
This puts your first call on hold and
connects you to the new caller.

Press the disconnect key
to end the current call. On the Open-
Phone 61 replace the handset.
Press the call key again.

You are now reconnected to the
waiting party you put on hold.
On a Different Call Key
G
You are speaking on the tele-
phone, hear the short tone (call-
waiting signal) and see the call on
your display.
Press the flashing call key. This
puts your first call on hold and con-
nects you to the new caller.

Press the disconnect key
to end the current call (on the Open-
Phone 63/65) or replace the hand-
set.
