6.6 Night Mode
This function switches the heating off automatically after firing is complete and the chamber temperature drops to the night/ standby tempera-
ture. This function can be switched on or off for the program as desired by pressing the “Bed” sensor button. The “Bed”
symbol for night mode is displayed in the firing curve.
After firing is complete, the furnace switches the display off and the firing chamber cools down. After reaching the night/standby
temperature, the firing chamber closes automatically. The night/standby temperature is maintained until the furnace is switched on again. Pres-
sing the “On/Off” sensor button switches the
Multimat2 Touch
on again.
6.7 Select activation time
(sub-menu Configuration section 4.5.1)
This function automatically activates the furnace at a preselected time. The function is set in the sub-menu “Configuration”.
The input fields “Activate” and “Time” are displayed.
Setting the activation time
1.
Press sensor button “M”.
2.
Press sensor button “Configuration”.
3.
Press sensor button “Time”.
4.
Enter the 24-hour time in the form 00:00 with the numeric keypad.
5.
Set sensor button “Activate” to “on”.
6.
Press sensor button “M” until the previous program is displayed.
When switching the furnace off with the “On/Off” switch, it will be automatically activated again at the preset time.
Note:
For safety reasons, this function is active for only 24 hours. Therefore the sensor button “Activate” will switch back to “Off” after auto-
matic activation and must be manually set to “On” again.

6.9 Print/PC
Printing
The theoretical and actual values of a firing program are auto-matically sent to a printer or PC after completion of the firing, if the data output is
set to “Printer” or “PC” in the basic settings.
The theoretical values for firing data can be printed out at any time by pressing the button PR/PC. If no printer or PC symbol is
displayed, the data output is disabled.
The printer must be configured as follows (please see your printer manual for directions):
9600 baud / 8 bit / 1 stop bit / no parity
Note:
For printer/PC connection you will require:
• for serial connection: 1 “twin” cable, serial (D-SUB, 9, St/D-SUB, 9 jacks, 9 wires) or
• for parallel connection: 1 serial to parallel connector, if a parallel printer is available.
Connect the printer with the
Multimat2 Touch
with the RS 232 interface.
6.10 Acoustic signals
