4.9 Release the exposure

Releasing the exposure
ü
The exposure parameters for the X-ray tube assembly are set.
Please refer to "Select the exposure parameters for the X-ray tube
assembly".

The sensor is positioned in the patient's mouth with the
corresponding auxiliary exposure equipment. Please refer to
"Position the sensor".

Ensure that the system is ready for exposures. The Connection
status LED on the USB interface must display a “breathing” green
indication and the Sensor status LED must be solid green. Please
refer to Determine unit status

Ensure that Sidexis 4 is ready for exposures. The exposure window
must be flashing green.

Check that the X-ray tube assembly is in the correct position, with
the appropriate technique factors, and take the X-ray exposure.

Remove the sensor from the hygienic protective sleeve. To do this
please follow the instructions in section "Remove the hygienic
protective sleeve from the sensor".

The used sensor holder tab and hygienic protective sleeve must be
disposed of after the examination. The guide rod and localizer ring
must be cleaned and sterilized. The sensor must be wiped with
disinfectant before it is used for another patient.
6.
Following the X-ray exposure, carefully place the sensor on a stable
surface or store it to prevent it from damage.
