Notes on Electromagnetic Compatibility
Medical electrical devices are subject to special precautionary
measures with regard to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Portable
HF communication equipment, including accessories, should not be
used in the vicinity of the device. Non-observance can impair the
performance features of the device. No performance feature of this
medical device is an essential performance feature in accordance with
IEC 60601-1.
The presence of electromagnetic interference in the vicinity of the
intraoral camera may cause image degradation and interruptions in the
data transmission via the USB interface to the PC. In those cases,
repeat the image acquisition or other actions. In the event of heavy
interference, it may be necessary to restart the PC. It is therefore not
recommended to use the PC for controlling other devices that provide
essential performance features.
Note on heating up the camera
The intraoral camera is heated during operation due to the LEDs in the
camera head. The following temperatures are reached at a room
temperature of 23 °C:
