Adjusting the spring force of the flex arm on the
dentist element
9.2.1
Preparation
It is only once the dentist element has been fully equipped and the desired
configuration has been assembled that the spring force of the dentist
element flex arm can be set. This equipment includes:
● Instruments, including hoses
● Camera (optional)
● NaCl pump (optional)
● Tray (optional)
The support arm brake must be free of pressure so that the brake does
not impede its movement.
1. Switch the treatment center off.
2. Actuate the SPRAYVIT to deaerate the treatment center.
IMPORTANT
Practice-oriented adjustment of the spring force
Due to the wide variety of options for loading the dentist element head,
the springs have a very large adjustment range. Adjust the spring force
so that the fitted dentist element (according to customer configuration)
neither rises nor falls when the brake is deactivated.
Be sure to make allowances for potential changes in additional loads
when setting the spring force. Example: Only attach a NaCl cylinder to
the dentist element head if necessary. When you do this, you must
adjust the spring force so that the support arm does not fall or rise,
regardless of whether or not a NaCl cylinder is attached.
