Only one device may be designated as

Delphin
device uses a software algorithm for PTP synchronisation.
4.9.2
Directory (User management)
With the User management, you can specify which users have access to
your device. The users Administrator, Guest and root are preset and can-
not be deleted. In additions, their modification options are limited.
Important
You have to activate User management after configuration. See
Guest
The
Guest
user is used for anonymous connection. In order to enable
anonymous connections, enable this user and here and also allow anonym-
ous login in
. Set the
User Rights
to the required level.
Administrator
The Administrator has the rights to update all device settings. The default
password is SUPERVISOR.
root
Has the same rights as the Administrator, but in addition has permission to
log in to the operating system console. The default password is ‘root’.
Important
For security reasons, change the device’s Administrator and root
passwords once User management is enabled.
Create new entry
You can create a new entry in the context menu Create
→
User in Dir-
ectory.
First, specify the
User class
:
User
adds a new user,
Group
is helpful when
several users are to log on with the same name,
Login data
creates an
entry that you can use to log the device into a mail server, for example.
