Removing the memory modules

Prerequisites

1. Follow the procedure in 

Before working inside your computer

.

2. Remove the 

side cover

.

About this task

The following images indicate the location of the memory modules and provide a visual representation of the removal procedure.

Steps

1. Lay the chassis on the right side.
2. Pull the securing clips from both sides of the memory module until the memory module pops up.
3. Slide and remove the memory module from the memory-module slot.

NOTE:

 Repeat step 2 to step 4 to remove any other memory modules installed in your computer.

NOTE:

 If the memory module is difficult to remove, gently ease the memory module back and forth to remove it from

the slot.

NOTE:

 To prevent damage to the memory module, hold the memory module by the edges. Do not touch the

components on the memory module.
