Configure SMTP
Use
the
Configure
SMTP
page
to
configure
the
SMTP
server
and
the
sender
address.
This
configuration
enables
alert
message
emails
to
be
sent
to
users
who
have
specified
a
recipient
address
in
their
contact
properties.

In
the
SMTP
Server
field,
enter
the
IP
address
or
fully
qualified
domain
name
of
the
SMTP
server.
Click
Test
server
to
verify
connectivity
to
the
SMTP
server.

In
the
Sender
E
‐
Address
field,
enter
the
address
of
the
sender.
This
address
is
required
by
most
SMTP
servers
and
is
used
as
the
FROM
address
of
messages.
Note:
To
configure
SMTP
later,
click
Skip
SMTP
Configuration
.
SMTP
settings
can
be
configured
later
in
the
System
Manager
through
the
Storage
Management
menu.
