Dynamic Counters
By default, counting is enabled for IPFLOW, IPACL, L2ACL, L2FIB.
For the remaining applications, Dell Networking OS automatically turns on counting when you enable the
application, and is turned off when you disable the application.
NOTE: If you enable more than four counter-dependent applications on a port pipe, there is an
impact on line rate performance.
The following counter-dependent applications are supported by Dell Networking OS:
• Egress VLAN
• Ingress VLAN
• Next Hop 2
• Next Hop 1
• Egress ACLs
• ILM
• IP FLOW
• IP ACL
• IP FIB
• L2 ACL
• L2 FIB
Clearing Interface Counters
The counters in the
show interfaces
command are reset by the
clear counters
command. This
command does not clear the counters any SNMP program captures.
To clear the counters, use the following the command.
• Clear the counters used in the
show interface
commands for all VRRP groups, VLANs, and physical
interfaces or selected ones. Without an interface specified, the command clears all interface counters.
