Getting Started window
The
Getting Started
window provides configuration options that are required when you first log in to the Data Manager
Appliance UI. This window continues to display by default each time you log in until you click
Launch
.
The
Getting Started
window enables you to configure or edit the following menu items:

Options
Description
Support
Launches the
Support
window, which enables you to configure SupportAssist, AutoSupport,
and set up the email server for application notifications and messages.
License
Launches the
License
window, which prompts you to add a license file to the Data Manager
Appliance. You can upload the DM5500 license to increase the storage capacity from its
default value of 12 TB. You can expand the storage in increments of 12 TB to the maximum
capacity of 96 TB. Once a license is uploaded, you can view license details, such as capacity
usage and software ID.
Assets
Launches the
Asset Sources
window, where you can enable any of the asset source types
that the Data Manager Appliance supports. Upon enabling an asset source, you can add and
register the source for the protection of assets.
Security
Launches the
Security
window, where you can create a user with Security Administrator
privileges. A Security Administrator can manage user accounts and roles, privileges, audit logs,
and authentication sources.
