Remove the

battery

Procedure

Peel off the tape that secures the battery-status light cable to the keyboard-
controls board.

Open the latch and disconnect the battery-status light cable from the keyboard-
controls board.

Peel off the tape that secures the battery-status light cable to the palm-rest
assembly.
