Removing the optional GPU card
Prerequisites

NOTE:
The optional GPU card images below are representative and may not match the actual optional GPU card to
remove.
Steps
1. Press the expansion card latch and push down the latch to open it. Hold the GPU card by the edges, and pull the card until
the card edge connector disengages from the connector on the expansion card slot.

2. If you are removing the GPU card permanently, install a metal filler bracket over the empty slot opening, and close the
expansion card latch.
NOTE:
You must install a filler bracket over an empty expansion card slot to maintain Federal Communications
Commission (FCC) certification of the system . The brackets also keep dust and dirt out of the system and aid in
proper cooling and airflow inside the system . The filler bracket is necessary to maintain proper thermal conditions.
