Removing the system fan - UMA

Prerequisites

1. Follow the procedure in 

before working inside your computer

2. Remove the 

base cover

.

3. Remove the 

battery

.

About this task

Steps

1. Lift the mylar cover.
2. Disconnect the system fan cable from the system board.
3. Peel the adhesive tape, and unroute the I/O cable.
4. Remove the two (M2x2) screws that secure the system fan to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
