Procedure

Peel the tape off the I/O-board connector.

Open the latch and disconnect the I/O-board cable from the I/O board.
NOTE:
If necessary, use a plastic scribe to open the latch.

Disconnect the fingerprint reader cable from the I/O board.
NOTE:
Applicable only to computers that are shipped with power button with fingerprint reader.

Remove the two screws (M2x3) that secure the I/O board to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
5
Lift the I/O board off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
