Peel off the tape that secures the power and volume-buttons board cable to the 
palm-rest assembly.

Disconnect the power and volume-buttons board cable from the I/O board.

Remove the power and volume-buttons board cable from the routing guides on 
the palm-rest assembly.

4 

Remove the screw (M2x3) that secures the power and volume-buttons board to 
the palm-rest assembly.
