Steps

1. Disconnect the front-speaker cable from the system board.
2. Remove the front-speaker cable from the routing guides on the system board and palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
3. Peel the tapes securing the front-speaker cable to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
4. Lift the speakers and its cable off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.

Installing the front speakers, 6-cell battery (87 Wh)

Prerequisites

If you are replacing a component, remove the existing component before performing the installation process.

About this task

NOTE:

 This procedure only applies if you're installing the front speaker for a computer with a 6-cell battery (87 Wh)

installed.
