Processor blank and DIMM blank
The processor blank and DIMM blank supplied with your system aids in directing airflow over the unused processor sockets and DIMM
slots.
CAUTION:
If you are permanently removing a processor, you must install a socket protective cap and a processor blank
and DIMM blank in the vacant socket to ensure proper system cooling. The processor blank and DIMM blank covers the
vacant sockets for the DIMMs and the processor.
Removing a processor or DIMM blank
Prerequisites

Hold the processor/DIMM blank by its edges and lift it away from the system.
