Power interposer board
The power interposer board (PIB) is a board that connects the redundant power supply units (PSUs) to the system board. The PIB is only
supported in systems with redundant PSUs.
Removing the power interposer board
Prerequisites

simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and
support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow
the safety instructions that are shipped with your product.
NOTE:
The power interposer board (PIB) is present only in systems that support redundant power supply units (PSUs).
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions section.
2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system section.
3. Remove the PSUs from the system.
Steps
1. Disconnect the power distribution cables from the system board.
2. Disconnect the fan cable.
3. Remove the two screws securing the PIB to the chassis and lift the board out of the chassis.
