Using the wizard, add tiers and disks to the existing pool.
Notes:

Hybrid models display the default RAID configuration for your tier selection.

In All-Flash models, the RAID configuration is based on number of drives in the pool and is
not configurable.
Allocating block storage
On the Dell EMC Unity storage array, you can present storage to one or more hosts.
About this task
You can present additional storage to one or more hosts in the following ways:
•
Present new LUNs from the same or a different pool
•
Extend existing LUNs to present additional capacity.
•
Present existing LUNs to additional hosts.
Procedure

Log on to the Dell EMC Unity storage array on which you want to allocate storage.

To allocate additional block storage, perform the following:

To create a new LUN, proceed to step 4.

To extend an existing LUN, proceed to step 6.

To add additional hosts to an existing LUN, proceed to step 8.

Using the wizard, perform the following steps:
a
Type the name and description.

Select the storage pool, tiering policy, capacity, desired host I/O limit and, if necessary,
compression.
Enable compression on data LUNs only if you have determined that the application
is suited to handle compression.

Set the designated access for hosts.

Set the defined snapshot and replication options.
