Install the X400 capacity cube

This section describes how to install the sliding rails for the X400 capacity cube,
secure the rails to the customer-provided rack, and install the X400 capacity cube into
the rack.

Identifying the rail kit components

The 2U sliding rail assemblies allow the X400 capacity cube to be secured in the rack,
and extended from the rack so that the X400 capacity cube cover can be removed to
access the internal FRUs.

Install the rails

About this task

The rails are labeled left and right, and cannot be interchanged. The front side of each
rail is labeled Left Front or Right Front when the rail faces the rack front.

Procedure

1. Determine where to mount the X400 capacity cube, and mark the location at

the front and back of the rack.
