NOTE:
A System Event Log (SEL) event is logged if an expansion card riser is not supported or missing. It does not prevent your
system from turning on. However, if a F1/F2 pause occurs with an error message, see

Air shroud
The air shroud directs the airflow across the system. It prevents the system from overheating and is used to maintain uniform airflow inside
the system.
Removing the air shroud
Prerequisite
CAUTION:
Never operate your system with the air shroud removed. Without the air shroud, the system may overheat, resulting
in shutdown of the system and loss of data.

Follow the safety guidelines listed in

Using the blue touch points, lift the air shroud out of the system.

Align the slot on the air shroud with the standoff on the chassis.
NOTE:
Route the cable properly to prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped.

Lower the air shroud into the system until it is firmly seated.
