5.
Commissioning of the proxSafe system
The following commissioning procedure is operated automatically by the terminal. Note,
that this procedure works only once, when the system is in its initial state (factory delivery).
If you should need to repeat this procedure, please contact your local service partner for
further instructions.
5.1
Selftest
After turning the power on the terminal will show the following screen:
The device carries out a selftest. The screen
may look as follows. Carefully watch the
following messages:
•
All messages should end with an “OK”-
symbol
“√”
•
With each flexx keyPanel you see the
number of connected proxCylinders per
row. For example for the proxSafe flexx
keyPanel 3U (with 16 slots) this should
always be “8 8 0 0”.
The commissioning procedure will then
run through every connected flexx
keyPanel counting upwards.
Note:
This message will only be correct
after full commissioning of your
proxSafe flexx!
•
If more than one flexx housing is
connected to the terminal, you should
receive one message for each flexx in
the 2
nd
line.
•
If you chose to install a deister card
reader into the terminal, you should
receive the version number of the card
reader in the 3
rd
line.
•
If no card reader or a Wiegand reader
is installed, the 3
rd
line will display
“Wiegand interface
√”.
You may repeat the device check several times before continuing. Just disconnect and re-
connect the system power.
