■
Magnesium anode
● The magnesium anode must be checked at least every 2 years. After
the first check and in light of the degree of wear of the anode, it is
necessary to determine the frequency of future checks.
● The anode can be checked using one of the following two methods:
- Visual check:
The anode must be replaced if its diameter is less than 15 mm (initial
diameter = 33 mm).
- Measurement check:
- disconnect the anode's earth wire
- measure the current between the tank and the anode; if the current
measurement is
less than 0.1 mA, the anode must be replaced.
If the anode must be replaced, proceed as follows.
■
Safety unit
The safety unit must be manoeuvred once a month, to ensure it works
correctly and to prevent any overpressure which could damage the tank
(see manual supplied with the safety unit).
■
Removing limescale
In hard water regions, it is recommended to ask the installer to descale
the tank's exchanger once a year in order to maintain its performance
levels (proceed as
follows).
● The casing can be cleaned with soapy water.
